Transforming Care Through Digital Innovation
Lifeways
As Lifeways celebrates 30 years of supporting adults with complex needs, we are focused on becoming both the Provider of Choice and the Employer of Choice by 2026. Guided by our CHOICE values, we help people live fulfilling lives while creating a culture where colleagues feel valued and able to do their best work.
Technology has been central to our transformation over the past 18 months. We introduced Nourish, our digital care management system, replacing paper plans with real-time recording that improves visibility and decision-making, and Deputy, an e-rostering tool that gives colleagues control of their shifts while simplifying payroll and administration.
To support these tools, we strengthened our technical architecture, improved connectivity, digitally enabled 8,000 colleagues, built a centralised data warehouse, and launched communication channels including a SharePoint intranet and Microsoft Teams to connect teams and share information quickly. By piloting systems, gathering feedback, and embedding digital champions, we built confidence and encouraged adoption across the organisation.
These changes have redefined how we work – streamlining processes, connecting teams, and freeing colleagues to focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality, person-centred support. Our investment in technology has created a more connected, agile, and supportive environment for both colleagues and the people we support, enabling better outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
